Guy and Joleen

About Us
This love affair began over a game of backgammon. That was 23 years ago...and it just gets better as time goes on.
Guy is a mystery, he forms deep bonds with the few people that he lets near him, money and material things are not as
important as his loved ones. He is an observer, purposefully set out on the fringes. What I love most about him....he
loves me. ~Joleen~
Joleen is my guide and warmth through her understanding and occasional nudge I have been able to get through the many
times so much that even when I stumble she's there to help get on track again, and aside from my various faults (which flare
up from time to time)she still loves me. ~Guy~
Guy was born in Arlington Heights Illinois, October 1962. He spent his childhood in the Chicago suburbs until the age
of 18 when he enlisted in the USMC .
I was born on Guam in 1963. Spent my childhood being the "new kid" because my father worked for the navy and we moved
around alot. I consider California my home because that is where I lived for most of my childhood...off and on. We moved
back to Hawaii when I was 17.
It was luck, or destiny or whatever you want to call it. At the last minute Guys orders were changed from Okinawa to
Hawaii. And that is where we met.
We are also the proud parents of 5 of the greatest people
we know , 9 grandbabies and more...and add to that a couple more great people that we claim as family and...well...our family grows a little
every year.
Aside from them...we have a 12 year old calico cat named Nitty, a grey and white cat named Sanka, and the sweetest dog in the whole world named Imi, and a rose hair tarantula-Muffet.
Guy and I both love the mountains, he likes spring time, I love fall. We both love thunder storms and have been known to
open the curtains and shut off all the lights to watch the show. Neither of us like tornadoes.
At the moment we live in O'Fallon MO . Guy is working at Mallinckrodt as an operator. I am a homemaker again.
